Custom scam alerts for your organization

Scam alerts chosen for your area and the people you serve, with your organization's name on them. Your own email tool sends them to your customers or members automatically, or you copy them into a newsletter, website, or bulletin.

Free during the pilot. Limited to 25 organizations.

What your customers see

This week's alert for our sample credit union, the way its members would see it. Yours carries your name and is chosen for your area and the people you serve.

Three examples of the same alert, “A Utility Worker at the Door Offers a Water Test? Ask for ID”, sent by the fictional Example Community Credit Union: as an email from the organization with its name and logo, as a post on its social media page, and as a printed notice pinned to a bulletin board.

How it works

  1. Apply by email. Fill in the form below. It writes an email for you to send from your own account. Nothing you type is saved on this website.
  2. We reply with your feed address, a web link made just for your organization, usually within two business days, once we have checked your website.
  3. Connect it once. Paste the link into Mailchimp, HubSpot, Brevo, MailerLite, Klaviyo, or your WordPress website, following the steps in our reply. After that, new alerts go out on the schedule you choose.

The link works like a podcast subscription. Your email tool checks it, and when a new alert appears, it emails it to your list in your own design. If your tool can't do that, our reply also includes a page with each alert ready to copy or print.

Which alerts your people get

About one a week, picked from the alerts we check and publish every day, in this order:

  1. Scams reported in your area and aimed at the people you serve
  2. Other scams reported in your area
  3. Scams aimed at the people you serve, wherever they are reported
  4. Major scams going around the country

A major scam reported in your state goes out the day we publish it. Each alert links to the full version on our site, which lists its sources.

Your customers' privacy

  • You send the alerts, from your own email tool, to your own list. We never ask for or see your customer list.
  • The alerts have no images, so we can't see who opens them. We only count how many clicks come back to our site in total.
  • Every alert tells your customers to contact you using a phone number or website they already know, never one given in a message.

Planned prices after the pilot

The pilot is free. After it ends, we plan to charge by how many people you reach. Charities, faith communities, senior centers, libraries, and government agencies pay half.

Separate them with commas, for example: Houston, Fort Bend County

The people you serve (optional)

Tick all that apply. Leave them all unticked if you serve everyone.

Things you never ask people to do (optional)

Each alert can end with a short list, under your name, of things your organization never asks people to do. It helps your customers spot a fake message that claims to come from you. Tick only the ones that are true for you. Your customers will read:
